More about RMA special events
The Annual Banquet
The Annual Banquet is the primary social event of each year for the RMA. It is held generally on the second or third Wednesday in November and is attended by RMA members or candidates, their wives or guests and widows of deceased RMA members and their guests. Annual attendance has typically exceeded 200 people.
The Annual Banquet is chaired each year by the First Vice President and assisted by the Second Vice President.
The Banquet Committee invites RMA members to volunteer to be Table Hosts and the Hosts then proceed to fill a table with approximately ten guests. Those without a table assignment should ask the Banquet Chairman for help finding a table host.
The RMA Annual Picnic is customarily held on the second Wednesday in September at the Clambake Area of Greenwich Point, rain or shine, from 10:30 AM to about 3:00 PM. Spouses are encouraged to attend!
The Annual Picnic is chaired each year by the Third Vice President.
The objective of the Picnic is to give the members, wives, candidates and guests, an opportunity to get together for a good time. It starts with fun and games and camaraderie followed by raffles.
Lunch starts at noon with great food. Some prizes are awarded through raffle or purchase of a ticket at the entrance.
